With the re-opening of restaurants under Covid-19 conditions, the passing around of paper menus has become a high health risk. Restaurants have been adopting a QR code solution, a scanning technology that has been around for decades. Customers scan a QR code with their mobile device, at their table, or brought to them by their waiter and it provides an instant connection to the restaurant’s menu on their web site. Customers have to do this every time they come to the restaurant and in almost all cases, these menus are not mobile friendly and not easy to navigate. They are also difficult to update unless the restaurant has internal web site expertise.
Heelo’s solution – Heelo can provide a restaurant with a Heelo QR code, a Heelo beacon, a mobile friendly menu and a back end platform to easily change and update the menu instantly. When a customer enters a restaurant they will scan the Heelo QR code and be presented with a message to download Heelo so the menu will come up instantly when they return to the restaurant and get other saving promotions or proceed directly to the menu. The menu will be on Heelo’s back end platform that will be mobile friendly and accessible by restaurant staff to make instant changes. For example, if an item runs out, it could be listed as ‘temporarily not available.’
